Decision To "Give the Best shot"

I made a decision to keep keeping on,
no matter how tough the situation gets to be.
Following into the lives of some of the most successful people whom I look up to as role model figures, there is one thing common to most of them, they had to endure exhaustion, excruciating moments of sitting and thinking. Valorie Burton, in her Inspiration book “Listen to your life” says; “Make a habit of taking interest in the success path of those whom you admire”. I couldn’t think of a better way to understand such a powerful message which gets to become a leading quote in my life. I wonder if there could be any other way to climbing up a ladder that has been climbed before without using the same ladder steps up.  The answer will be a NO……unless one flies up, which is totally different from the subject action. A smart person therefore will want to ensure that he/she learns all the tricks employed by a predecessor and thereafter come up with an even better way to go about the climbing process. Decisions have to be made upon weighing of options. The best option always wins. I believe the best option is always generated if and only if the best shot is given to arrive to it.
I am halfway into my semester, and this time round I had decided to be the early bird at handling pending tasks. And they must be done in the best way possible. This year I don’t want my project work (a project we started as a group of university students as a way through which we can give back to the society. It deals on environmental sustainability with a focus on creating sustainable waste disposal systems. It initially started as a project driven by the desire to create a free and plastic free environment) to be another task item I put on my “to do list” but never got anywhere measurable/impacting with it. At the same time, I don’t want to jeopardize my grades because I decided to focus so much energy on a commitment project at the expense of my school work. To balance out the two and ensure success at the end of the day, I have had to sit down and make a decision. It may not be the best decision according to you or somebody else, but it is what I believe will get me to the point I want to be at eventually. Giving one’s best shot is what I have opted to do. I have allocated ample time to handle whatever needs to be done. And when executing my tasks, I have decided to offer each of them maximum concentration. I cannot tell what the success product is going to be like, only time will.
My role models range from simple, non-famous personalities around me who’ve shaped who I am today to iconic people whom globally the public may choose to be identified with. It is important to have a role model. Because with one (or more), you will be able to attain success if you practice what Valorie advices. And that is a step towards deciding to give the best shot at all one does. I want to imagine that everyone has that one person whom they admire, because sometimes we don’t want to declare that we have role models in our lives. I also want to imagine that those people we consider as role models presented characters traits that we emulated at one point in life, or we felt impressed with their levels of achievement or their leadership styles if they happen to be leaders. For all those little to lump sum details that we see in other people to make us want to be like them, it is important to create a deep sense of curiosity to want to know how exactly they did it. Take for instance Isaac Newton, the father of Newtonian law of gravitation. Newton contributed towards offering an explanation as to why we have free fall of items. Now, that is awesome! I know that in this very moment, a student somewhere admires Newton for being such a genius, because if you get to read and learn more about Newton as a person, you will definitely get to learn even more about how you can become a great scientist just by being aware of the kind of life Newton led. This is an example of several other areas we all have people that we look up to.
Success starts by deciding to give your best shot, and it is further simplified by identifying people who have lead an almost similar trail to what you dream to achieve, studying their life and getting to learn from it. "You don’t need to be just like them, what you need is to pick from them what is valuable in your life and top up your own unique DNA pattern to make you a complete Success for you and the society."
